Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, and provides as follows.

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Lindenwood University is committed to maintaining an environment that is free from sexual discrimination, sexual and gender-based harassment and violence, relationship violence, stalking and retaliation.  The university does not discriminate on the basis of sex in matters of education, extracurricular activities, programs, athletics, admissions, housing, services, financial aid, or in the context of employment (collectively, the “programs and employment”).  Sexual harassment that denies or limits a person’s ability to participate in or benefit from the university’s programs and employment is a form of prohibited discrimination.
